2006 Juvenile Presentation Night

JJB SPORTS, SATURDAY 25th FEBRUARY, 2006

On Saturday last, Dundalk Young Irelands GFC and Seatown/Cluan Enda hosted their annual juvenile presentation night in JJB Sports. M.C. for the evening was PRO Paul McArdle while special guest was current Louth U-21 and Senior star, John O’Brien.

The group played games on the astro-turf pitches before all age-groups took part in novelty penalty kick competition. Afterwards all headed for the buffet and the 2005 awards presentations. Chairman Gerry Nixon welcomed the large attendance of players, parents and club members before acknowledging the hard work carried out by club members over the last year, particularly for organising football activities and the on-going development works. Gerry stated that in 2005, the juvenile ranks continued to increase and with the floodlighting, fencing and tarmac, the club has great facilities for young players. Gerry added that the club needed full support from all present to move forward.

In 2005, Seatown/Cluan Enda had big numbers participating in gaelic football every Monday evening on Cluan Enda Green and the young players got great benefit and enjoyment from the weekly coaching sessions. John O’Brien presented each player with a medal for their efforts.
